2009 CG Education Foundation Scholarship Recipients


Gabriella Imbriano and Brian Chellis, seniors at Cedar Grove High School, are the recipients of the Cedar Grove Education Foundation 2009 Scholarships. The scholarships were presented by CGEF Trustee, William Wnekowicz, at the CGHS Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Thursday, June 4 at the high school. Gabriella will be attending the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in the Fall, and Brian will be heading to the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. The two CGEF scholarships were among 105 local scholarships awarded to members of the Class of 2009 that night, which totaled approximately $72,000.

The Cedar Grove Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization. All the money raised and donations received by the CGEF are used to benefit Cedar Grove. The CGEF is committed to bringing exceptional educational programs to township residents, providing special professional development opportunities for educators, and to awarding scholarships to qualified students.

The mission of the Cedar Grove Education Foundation is to enrich and enhance the educational experiences of Cedar Grove students above and beyond the scope of the regular curriculum and to provide lifelong learning opportunities for the entire community.
